ND FILTER
Neutral density filters (ND filters) are the most sought-after and important types of photographic filters for several reasons. For photographers, ND filters mean precise control over the amount of light that enters the lens, allowing for greater creative control over exposure. For content creators, ND filters are very helpful in adjusting shutter speeds to match the frame rate while maintaining the depth of field of the footage. PROND filters use clear optical glass from HOYA, mounted in a lightweight, precisely crafted aluminum frame. With HOYA's exclusive ACCU-ND technology, a uniform reduction of light in the visible and IR spectrum is achieved. The Hoya ND 100000 allows for exposures of over 1 hour in direct sunlight, making the filter particularly suitable for capturing special events such as a solar eclipse. With more than 16.5 stops of light reduction, the filter results in exposure times of several minutes in bright sunlight. Hoya employs a precise metal vapor deposition process to create the ultra-dark ND effect while maintaining a very neutral color balance for true-to-life color reproduction at extremely long exposure times.
- Diameter of 95 mm
- Light reduction – Corresponds to an optical ND density of 5.0
- Enables extremely long exposures even in bright sunlight, supported by a neutral color balance for true-to-life results.
- Utilization of Hoya's exclusive ACCU-ND technology for a uniform reduction of light
- Adjustment of shutter speeds, especially for videographers to maintain depth of field.
