The hinge hole drill is suitable for drilling recesses for hinges and fittings. A small centering tip, pilot cutters, and two main cutting edges support controlled drilling. The WS version is designed for uncoated softwoods, while the Bormax® geometry is suitable for veneered panels and conditionally for plastic-coated chipboard or MDF. The HM version easily handles plastic coatings. All versions are only conditionally suitable for freehand operation. With the Zenterfix, the spring-loaded guide sleeve centers itself automatically in the screw hole of the hinge or fitting. The integrated HSS core drill has a chisel tip.
