The Neo Classic Forstner bit is ideal for clean, tear-free drilling in softwood and glued laminated timber. The improved design of the traditional Forstner bit combines a centering tip with two main cutting edges and an adapted geometry of the peripheral cutting edges. The stepped peripheral cutting edge reduces friction during drilling. The Neo Classic Forstner bit is especially suitable for handheld operation with a hand drill. The triangular shank supports better power transmission. For hardwood, the Bormax® WS series 1622 or the HM-Bormax³ series 1663 are recommended.
