The flat center drill is suitable for simple drilling in softwood where no special accuracy or surface quality is required. A centering tip facilitates positioning, while two pilot cutters provide cleaner drilling results compared to conventional flat center drills. The center drill has a bit shank E 6.3 and is not suitable for hardwood. For more precise or professional applications, FAMAG cylinder head drills such as the Bormax® WS or Bormax® HM are recommended.
