The new radio system called FDS (FAAC Digital Signature) consists of the following products: • XT2/XT4 FDS 433-868 and XT2/XT4 FDS BD 433-868 transmitters • 3-pin plug receiver XF FDS 433-868 • 5-pin plug receiver with integrated decoding RP FDS 433-868, RP2 FDS 433-868 • External receivers with integrated decoding XR2N 433-868, XR4N 433-868 Transmitters and receivers communicate with each other on the frequencies of 868 MHz and 433 MHz, always using the best frequency in terms of range and interference level. FDS guarantees an advanced security system to achieve maximum protection against cloning. The radio transmission is protected by a symmetric AES-128 encryption algorithm with a 128-bit key. The transmitters identified as BDs communicate bidirectionally with the receivers, enabling the following: • Feedback to the transmitter (two-color LED + vibration) about the correct reception of the sent command by the receiver. • Querying the receiver about the status of the gate (closed/open) Additionally, the BDs are equipped with an RFID tag that is compatible with FAAC XTRB readers. The new FDS transmitters are also compatible with the previous model SLH (only in the 'Slave' version) and can therefore be used in older systems where SLH transmitters are already present.
Technical Details
- Channels 2 bidirectional
- Power supply 1 Lithium battery 3 V CR2032
- Frequency 433.92/868.35 MHz
- RF power 10 mW
The bidirectional BD version transmits the following information to the user:
• Was the pulse correctly processed by the receiver (vibration)
• Gate closed yes or no (LED + vibration, only in combination with XF FDS receiver)
