DT Alpine III is the spoke with the lowest weight relative to its stability. This is achieved through an elaborate manufacturing process. Starting from a 2.34 mm spoke, the diameter is reduced to 2 mm at the thread and to just 1.8 mm in the middle section using cold forging techniques. This results in a maximum weight saving of 173 g compared to spokes with a constant diameter. Despite the lightweight middle section, the DT Alpine III maintains maximum strength and reliability. The optimal application area is for highly stressed wheels, such as tandems or e-bikes.
