In connection with the front wheels of the ARC 1100 DICUT model series launched in 2025, with rim heights of 55 mm, 65 mm, and 85 mm, DT Swiss has found that there are thru-axle specifications in circulation that are not compatible with the front hubs of these models.

Some thru-axles are tapered in the middle section. If the axle is tapered in the area of the hub bearing, this leads to inadequate support of the ball bearings. Inadequate support can result in grinding noises, increased bearing wear, or even damage to the hub and thru-axle in practice.

Therefore, it is recommended to replace the thru-axle of the front hub with this specific thru-axle for Specialized bicycles.
