The ET-83F (WIII) lens hood has been specifically designed for the RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM lens to prevent lens reflections and ghosting caused by reflected stray light – it also protects the front part of the lens from accidental damage. The inner surface is satin-finished. Additionally, it is heat-insulated to prevent heat distortion from forming in front of the front lens. The heat-generating infrared light is reflected, ensuring no heat buildup occurs during shots on hot days. This robust lens hood is securely attached to the lens with two locking points and offers a practical window for adjusting a filter.
