The Tamiya Sand Scorcher 2010 is a special 1:10 scale model, which the Japanese manufacturer reissued in 2010 on the occasion of its 30th company anniversary. The technical basis corresponds to the original model, but the latest control arms, wheel carriers and a modern speed controller were used and the body was reinforced. The standard equipment includes a sturdy fiberglass chassis plate, an extensive set of ball bearings, a sturdy 540 motor and oil pressure shock absorber.

Sand Scorcher

A model is a true-to-scale replica of a prototype. With the Sand Scorcher, however, a Tamiya fan turned the tables and created the model for the model for the company's 30th anniversary. The large version of the classic was proudly presented at the Nuremberg Toy Fair 2010 at the stand of the Shizuoka manufacturer.

Kit

All model parts - except for the electronics, paints and adhesives - are contained in one kit. The body must be painted by yourself. This allows you a wide range of configuration options - but also requires a certain amount of prior knowledge of model making.

Buggies

Buggies usually have tires with a pronounced off-road profile and a very well coordinated chassis. This makes them ideal models for tough off-road use. The gears are often closed and thus protected against ingress of dirt. In addition, the shock absorbers mostly work hydraulically and can therefore be matched with different oils.
