Solid body tweeter-on-top

The new solid body tweeter-on-top enclosure has an extended shape with a longer tube system, which provides an even freer and more open sound at high frequencies.

Carbon dome tweeter

The Carbon Dome tweeter is designed specifically for the 700 Series. It offers a dramatic improvement over the aluminum double dome tweeter. The imaging accuracy can thus be improved once again.

Biometric driver suspension

First used in the 800 Series Diamond, the midrange driver's Biomimetic Suspension now revolutionizes the performance of the 700 S3 Series. Technically, all superfluous material was removed from the so-called spider inside.

Continuum midrange diaphragm

Thanks to the composite construction, the Continuum™ midrange avoids abrupt behavioral transitions that can affect the performance of a conventional midrange. The result is an open and neutral reproduction of voices and musical instruments.

Decoupled midrange driver

Each 700 S3 Series 3-way loudspeaker features a dedicated midrange cone with four Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum Membrane, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and Midrange Decoupling, the latter of which ensures minimal impact of the woofers on the midrange driver.

Aerofoil Profile Woofer

Designed with advanced computer modeling techniques, the Aerofoil™ Profile bass diaphragm has variable thickness, providing stiffness and strength where it is needed most. The result: deep and dynamic bass.

Curved baffle

The 700 S3 Series features a curved front baffle for the first time. This allows the midrange and bass-midrange drivers to be housed in individual pod-like enclosures that protrude above the baffle. Combined with the curvature of the baffle, this approach reduces the audible impact of the enclosure on the sound and creates a clearer, more open listening experience.
