The KL1516AiM KVM switch is a dual-rail LCD KVM switch that allows you to control up to 16 computers from a single console (keyboard, monitor, and mouse). It features a built-in 43cm LCD screen, a full-sized keyboard, and a touchpad, and is mounted in a 1U rack for 19-inch cabinets in a retractable housing.

The LCD monitor and the keyboard module with touchpad can be pulled out of the rack independently. To create more space in the data center, the keyboard module with touchpad can be pushed in while the slim LCD screen remains extended and flat against the rack for monitoring the computers - allowing for easy monitoring of computer activity.

The KL1516Ai enables local and remote sysops to monitor and control multiple computers over an IP network. Because it uses the TCP/IP protocol for communication, the KL1516Ai can be operated from any computer on the LAN, WAN, or Internet - regardless of whether it is in the same room, across the street, or on another continent.

The compact and closely arranged RJ-45 ports for Cat. 5e/6 network cables ensure space-saving, efficient cable management. At the same time, the use of KVM adapter cables allows for the connection of various types of computers, such as PCs, Macs, or Suns, and even serial devices within the same installation.

Additionally, the device has ports on its back for an external keyboard and mouse as well as a monitor, allowing you to control the switch via a local console. Furthermore, the device is equipped with an external USB mouse port on the keyboard module, so you can use an external mouse instead of the touchpad if needed.

Advanced features include the thumbnail display Panel Array Mode™, which allows you to view the images of up to 16 computers simultaneously, as well as the message board, through which logged-in users can communicate with each other in real-time - no matter where they are on our planet.
