Always stay online and prevent data loss
As soon as the power fails, an APC Smart-UPS immediately supplies emergency power to all connected devices. As this happens automatically with an APC UPS, you prevent unwanted failures of a PC, server or switch, for example. With the free APC PowerChute software, you can even have critical IT hardware switched off automatically and in a controlled manner when the UPS battery is almost empty. This prevents data loss, downtime and physical damage to the hardware.

Extend the runtime
By connecting external battery packs (SMX120RMBP2U), you can easily increase the number of minutes in which the APC SMX UPS can supply stand-alone emergency power. Several hours of runtime are even possible.

Security
In addition, a Smart-UPS protects connected devices from voltage peaks caused by lightning strikes, among other things. This APC emergency power supply is ideal for use in (small) businesses.

Network management card
If you connect the UPS directly to your network via the optional APC network management card (AP9640/AP9641), it can be easily managed remotely via SNMP or our remote management software Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI). You can also automatically send a shutdown signal over the network to multiple physical and/or virtual servers. The APC PowerChute Network Shutdown software connected to the network card can even differentiate between the time of shutdown and the order in which it occurs.

Easy to operate
This APC Smart-UPS SMX is easy to operate thanks to the LCD screen.

Rack/tower convertible
The APC Smart-UPS SMX can be converted into a rack/tower. Since both the feet and the 4-post rack mounting brackets are included, you can mount it in a rack (2U) or stand it upright.

Extend the service life
The internal battery cartridge (APCRBC117) can be easily, safely and independently replaced by the user. This can be done without having to switch off the APC SMX3000RMHV2U or connected devices. In this way, you can easily and cost-effectively extend the service life of the APC Smart-UPS and your devices will always remain online.

Warranty extension
The manufacturer's warranty of the SMX3000RMHV2U is 3 years, with the exception of the battery, which is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. Both are extended by 3 years to 6 and 5 years respectively with the APC Service Pack (WBEXTWAR3YR-SP-05).

Switched outlet groups: Remote restart and phased start
Thanks to the Switched Outlet Groups, it is possible to configure a phased/delayed switch-on per UPS outlet group. This reduces the peak load of the UPS and brings it closer to the constant load, limiting oversizing of the UPS.

It is also possible to reset a group of several UPS outputs and the devices connected to them. When using a network card (ap9640) in combination with Ecostruxure IT Expert (SFTWES1-DIGI), this is even possible remotely.

You can also not eliminate critical loads, thereby extending the runtime of critical devices.
