These water softener cartridges contain a special ion-exchanging granulate with a high ability to remove the hardness minerals calcium and magnesium from the water. This makes the water soft. Calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for harmless soda ions (sodium carbonicum).

Hard water causes lime deposits in water supply pipes, heating systems, washing machines and many household appliances. The lime, iron, as well as magnesium particles dissolved in the water destroy clothes, dry out the skin and spoil the taste of food and drinks. The filter cartridges are specially designed so that the water flows through the entire ion-exchanging granulate, thus ensuring maximum filtration efficiency
