During production, each filter is tested for tightness with compressed air!! The water filter is made from high-quality, food-safe materials. It holds certifications from the NSF authority and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).

The connections are known as (Quick Connect Fittings). These have been built into the cartridge during manufacturing. The hose ends only need to be pushed into the filter openings until they stop. The closures secure automatically, allowing for a replacement in just a few seconds.

Filtration in 2 stages: 

This water filter is not just filled with activated carbon like most filters, but consists of 2 filter stages.
- First stage sediment filter up to 5µm Micron (everything larger than 5 thousandths of a millimeter) against suspended particles and micro-sediments like rust, sand, lime particles, etc.
- The second stage is activated carbon made from real coconut shells, which removes mechanical impurities, chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals, and many organic chemicals. The water filter thus positively enhances the taste, which you can not only smell and taste but also see.

This filter fits all refrigerator models that have an external water filter. The external water filters are installed between the 1/4 inch plastic hose (6mm diameter) connected to the cold water line.

Filter Replacement 

According to the manufacturer's recommendations, you should always replace the water filter when:
- the corresponding warning light on your refrigerator lights up (model-dependent),
- the refrigerator has not been used for an extended period,
- if there are odors or cloudiness in the water,
- or as a precaution, according to the TwVo, at least every 6 months even if the filter has a higher capacity!
