By tamping, the coffee grounds in the filter are compacted to create a firm and even coffee puck with a smooth and level surface.
Proper tamping avoids channeling and achieves an even extraction of the entire coffee grounds, dissolving all the aromatic compounds from the coffee.

Compared to calibrated tampers, this tamper provides a better feel for the strength of the different pressure levels. This allows for the use of various tamper pressure levels for different coffee machines and coffee beans, offering more possibilities for coffee preparation.

This tamper fits perfectly on 58 mm portafilters.
Through repeated testing, MHW 3Bomber has determined that 58.35 mm is the perfect size for leveling tools and tampers. These fit precisely in 58 mm portafilters and reduce coffee ground waste.

The tamper has an ergonomic handle and feels good in the hand. Additionally, the tamper is equipped with a silicone coating that provides a very good grip when pressing down. The base is flat.

The entire tamper is made from high-quality materials. The handle is made of black carbon and the base is made of stainless steel (SUS304).
