Household water filters are used to treat drinking water from the public water supply system. The important thing here is to reduce the and water hardness of any contaminants from the household water supply network.

The pre-filter prevents larger particles, such as sand grains, from entering the filter.

Ion exchangers (white beads) inside the filter filter e.g. substances dissolved in the water such as lime and lead from the drinking water by binding calcium or lead ions to themselves and exchanging them for hydrogen ions.

Activated carbon (black granules) is highly porous and therefore has a very large surface area. Chlorine, as well as odor and taste disturbing organic substances are filtered out and bound in this structure.

The fine-mesh turbidity filter prevents turbidity of the filtered water due to the finest activated carbon particles.

The result is up to 180 liters of filter-fresh water of natural taste, with reduced lime and chlorine content and reduced loads of lead, cadmium, zinc, copper, etc., which can be released from the domestic water supply.

All materials used in MultiMax filter cartridges are tested and, of course, approved for food safety for the high standard of the European Community. This also applies to their application results.

TÜV Rheinland has confirmed the high quality standard of Aqua Select Plus® MultiMax filter cartridges. The TÜV test mark documents a level of care in the manufacture of the filter cartridges that goes beyond normal standards. They are suitable for use with foodstuffs and are regularly monitored.

During the production of Aqua Select Plus® MultiMax filter cartridges, they are sterilized by an environmentally friendly process without the use of chemicals.
