Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top The new Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top cabinet has an elongated shape with a longer tube system, which provides an even freer and more open sound at high frequencies.
Carbon Dome tweeter

The Carbon Dome tweeter has been specially developed for the 700 Series. It offers a dramatic improvement over the aluminum double dome tweeter. The imaging accuracy can thus be further improved.

Biometric driver suspension

First used in the 800 Series Diamond, the biomimetic suspension of the midrange driver now also revolutionizes the performance of the 700 S3 Series. Technically speaking, all superfluous material has been removed from the so-called spider on the inside.

Continuum midrange cone

Thanks to the composite construction, the Continuum™ midrange driver avoids abrupt transitions in behavior that can affect the performance of a conventional midrange driver. The result is an open and neutral reproduction of voices and musical instruments.

Decoupled midrange driver

Each 700 S3 Series 3-way loudspeaker features a special midrange cone incorporating four Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum Diaphragm, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and Midrange Decoupling, the latter ensuring minimal impact of the woofer on the midrange driver.

Aerofoil profile woofer

Developed using advanced computer modeling techniques, the Aerofoil™ Profile bass cone has a variable thickness, providing stiffness and strength where it's needed most. The result: deep and dynamic bass.

Curved baffle

The 700 S3 Series features a curved front baffle for the first time. This allows the midrange and bass-midrange drivers to be housed in individual pod-like enclosures that protrude above the baffle. In combination with the curvature of the baffle, this approach reduces the audible influence of the cabinet on the sound and creates a clearer, more open listening experience.
