This monitor has a curved display height, the so-called Curved Design. Compared with flat displays, it fills a wider area of your field of view with the same display diagonal. This creates an impressive panoramic effect and guarantees optimal readability right up to the edge.

Similar to IPS ?? panels, the VA (Vertical Alignment) panel of this monitor also provides high viewing-angle stability, so you can see the contents well even if you look at the monitor from the side. Also with the color fidelity knows this technology to voices. VA monitors often achieve higher contrast ratios and deeper, more homogenous blacks compared to IPS panels. This monitor is therefore ideal for working in darkened rooms and for color-sensitive applications such as image processing.

Shortwave, blue light rays from LED screens, similar to UV rays, can cause eye damage and impair vision over time. The Philips "LowBlue" mode uses software technology to reduce the amount of shortwave blue light.

A treat for any gamer is the special "SmartImage Game" presets. Depending on the game genre (FPS, Racing or RTS), you can select the appropriate mode via fast access and the monitor optimizes its image accordingly. For example, in FPS mode, hidden objects in dark areas of the image are usually made more visible. In the racing mode, the reaction time is optimized, so that no disturbing streaking effects on fast moving objects arise. In RTS mode, you can highlight a specific area of the image and make size and image changes. In addition, you can freely define and save two profiles.

Because of the way brightness is controlled on LED-backlit screens, some users experience flicker on the screen, which over time leads to eyeballs. The Philips ? licker-Free »technology uses an alternative brightness control solution to reduce this effect and improve visual comfort.
