Cherry MX-Black
mechanical key switches and design, appearance & materialsCherry MX-Black switches are used in this version of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini. Cherry MX Black switches are purely linear, non-tactile switches and are therefore best suited for first-person shooters. A tactile pressure point is not absolutely necessary in this genre, as the keys are often hit completely in the heat of the moment. The Cherry MX Black switches come closest to rubber dome gaming keyboards in terms of characteristics, but offer much more fault tolerance due to the high trigger pressure.
The case of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini gaming keyboard is two-tone: while the top is black, the frame and bottom of the keyboard are white. The keycaps are made of UV-lasered ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene).
Stylish RGB LED backlightingThe highlight of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini gaming keyboard is without a doubt the professional RGB LED lighting, which allows for practically endless design possibilities. It offers a total of twelve different lighting modes, one of which is more unusual than the other. The special highlight of the Ducky keyboards is the completely software-free configuration of the RGB lighting. In fact, all settings and changes can be realized via various key combinations.
Functions & Features of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini Gaming KeyboardThe very popular mechanical Cherry MX switches are almost "unbreakable" and, depending on the switch used, optimally suited for the individual gamer types. Thanks to USB-N-Key rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without "ghosting" or other delays. The USB port's 1,000 Hz report rate is of help here, sending data from the keyboard to the PC every millisecond. There is a USB Type-C connector on the keyboard where the detachable cable plugs in, which has the typical Type-A connector on the other end. The two rubberized feet at the back, which are height-adjustable in three steps, are also comfortable.
The powerful ARM-M3 micro-controller of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini controls and stores the selected LED effects. Additionally, it optimizes the communication between keyboard and PC while enabling other functions, including the use of macros as well as profile memory. In addition to multimedia functions, Ducky Macro V2.0 also allows the mouse pointer to be controlled from the keyboard.
