The hand-held transmitter works with a rolling code procedure. The coding in a rolling code procedure is highly secure. The signal varies according to a specific rule (algorithm). The range is approx. 35 m and can even be operated from inside the vehicle. In bad weather, such as rain or snow, the range can be impaired. Concrete, walls or trees can also limit the range of a hand-held transmitter.
