A completely recreated Resident Evil 3 revisits the dramatic events in Raccoon City. Resident Evil 3 follows directly on the heels of the multi-award winning Resident Evil 2 released earlier this year, and as the latest installment in the series that has sold over 94 million games, it once again uses Capcom's RE Engine to tell the story of Raccoon City. Resident Evil 3 also includes the asymmetrical multiplayer title Resident Evil Resistance, previously known by the working title Project Resistance. Resident Evil 3 will be released on April 3, 2020 for the PlayStation computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices with the Xbox One X and Steam.

In Resident Evil 3, Jill Valentine, one of the most famous heroines in video game history, must escape the destruction of Raccoon City while being hunted relentlessly by the bioweapon Nemesis. The original game's locations and new content are realized more impressively than ever before thanks to the RE Engine with high-resolution graphics and modernized gameplay.

Jill's grueling escape takes place during the dramatic hours surrounding the events of Resident Evil 2. Intense combat and tricky puzzles characterize the heart-pounding finale surrounding the fall of Raccoon City. Any hope of rescue seems futile in the face of another icon of the series: the giant bioweapon Nemesis, who stands in the way of all surviving S.T.A.R.S. members - and sees in Jill his final target.
