The proven BRITA filtration technology decarbonizes the water in four steps:

1 Prefiltration.
A pre-filter retains coarse particles. For this purpose, the laminar water distribution makes optimum use of the downstream filter medium.

2 Carbonate hardness reduction
The filter medium reduces the carbonate hardness and thus prevents limescale formation.

3 Activated carbon filtration
All water - including blended water - passes through an activated carbon filter to reduce substances that interfere with taste and aroma.

4 Fine filtration
Finally, a fleece retains any remaining fine particles.
