The hand transmitter works with an alternating code procedure. The coding is therefore highly secure. The radio signal varies according to a certain rule (algorithm). The transmission range is approx. 35m and can even be operated from the vehicle. In bad weather such as rain or snow, the transmission range can be impaired. Steel, concrete, walls or trees can also limit the transmission range of a radio transmitter or garage door opener.
