Thermal Grizzly from Hamburg is a new German brand that is committed to the fight against high temperatures and poor heat transfer. The aim is to supply the overclocker scene with high-performance thermal management products, which are still a weak point - but the product portfolio can also be used for better and quieter cooling of gaming computers, workstations, mini PCs and many other purposes. In addition to higher clock rates, better thermal management products enable quieter cooling and a longer service life for the components to be cooled.
With the new Conductonaut, Thermal Grizzly is now presenting for the first time a high-performance paste based on liquid metal, consisting of a eutectic alloy intended for use at room temperature. Thanks to a special mixing ratio of the metals tin, gallium and indium, among others, an enormously high thermal conductivity value is achieved, combined with outstanding long-term resistance. The liquid components also allow tiny pores and gaps to be filled, which is only possible to a limited extent with conventional heat-conducting paste due to the solid particles. The metallic surface of the radiator and heat sink is wetted.
Thermal conductivity is crucial for the performance of a thermal interface material (TIM). Consisting only of the aforementioned metallic materials, the Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal thermal interface paste is clearly superior to alternative pastes, e.g. those based on silicone or only to a small extent on solid oxides (such as silver) or other metallic additives, and has an almost unrivaled thermal conductivity of approx. 73 W/mK. Overclockers and silent fans in particular will appreciate the resulting advantages.
