The Andalusian was bred by monks in the south of Spain in the 15th century. With its graceful appearance, it enchanted nobles and kings in particular. Hardly anyone would therefore suspect that the Andalusian was used as a cavalry horse for a long time. Although he has always been known for his courage and strength, it is his elegance that sets him apart. He is a unique dressage horse and even masters the famous air jump, which is otherwise only known from the Lipizzaner high riding school. Andalusians are known for their elegantly curved neck and flowing, soft hair.
