Monster Hunter Wilds is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Monster Hunter series. Releasing February 28, 2025 for consoles and PC, the latest installment in the popular co-op action RPG series takes the thrill of hunting larger-than-life enemies in vast natural settings to a new level.

The story takes players to the Forbidden Lands, a mysterious wilderness that can change in unexpected ways. This vibrant world is teeming with wild animals that have adapted to the ever-changing climate, including giant monsters that players face off against in action-packed battles. As hunters, players will protect the balance of the ecosystem, use the resources from the hunt to craft powerful equipment and explore the secrets at the heart of these new lands.

A new wild adventure
Monster Hunter Wilds follows the story of a research commission exploring the forbidden lands. For the first time in the series, the hunter is accompanied by a colorful group of characters, including a Palico partner, the guild-appointed sidekick Alma, the loyal blacksmith Gemma and the mysterious child Nata. Together, the team ventures into unexplored new territory, where surprises await around every corner.

A living world
The Forbidden Lands encompass several biomes with dynamic identities, such as the Windward Plains and the Scarlet Forest, where ecosystems alternate between vibrant seasons full of life and unforgiving climates where monsters fight for limited resources. Changes in the landscape affect the creatures that live there and force the hunters to adapt.

New monsters and wildlife
Monster Hunter Wilds features a variety of new creatures, from small herds to large monsters, some of which roam the Forbidden Lands in packs. Each creature the hunters encounter in the wild has carved out a special place for itself in its habitat and has unique attacks and behaviors. Players can now also ride the Seikret, a nimble new mount that allows hunters to traverse difficult terrain, perform actions such as sharpening weapons on the move, and switch horses.

Improved hunting action
The series' acclaimed, action-packed gameplay is back and more exciting than ever! Hunters can look forward to hunting monsters with a range of new moves, special abilities, equipment and much more. The action now seamlessly transitions from cutscenes to gameplay, adding a new level of immersion.

Cross-play multiplayer
As well as being able to experience the story of Monster Hunter Wilds solo, hunters on all platforms can team up with up to three other players to explore the world together and tackle the game's challenges as a hunting party.
